I redesigned the deteriorating dust jacket of Shirley Temple and The Spirit of Dragonwood as a personal illustration and layout project to preserve and elevate the original book. I planned the full layout in Illustrator, hand‑drew the dragon and house, and experimented with glow effects and motion blur to create a magical, atmospheric composition that reflects the story’s tone. The final jacket protects the aging book while refreshing it with a modern, expressive design that my mom loved. I served as both illustrator and designer for the entire project.
